My name is Natalja Varezkina. I was born and lived for 18 years in Riga, Latvia (North-eastern Europe). I came to America to get an education. At UNM-Gallup, Iam majoring in elementary education. I love books and I enjoy reading a lot.
My favorite book is Karlsson On The Roof by Astrid Lindgren. I read it over and over when I was a child, and I still enjoy this book as an adult. It is now out of print, and it is almost impossible to find this book. It is about a little man who lives on a roof of one of the houses in Stockholm. The peculiar thing about Karlsson is that he can fly for he has a propeller on his back. The book is about the adventures of Karlsson, his friend, a little boy, and a dog.
Astrid Lindgren is my favorite author since childhood. Among her other books that I like are:

My favorite illustrator is Cynthia Rylant. She writes childrens' books and illustrates them as well. Among my favorite books illustrated by her are The Dreamer, and Cat Heaven.
My favorite storytelling link is Bed Time Stories where you can read all your favorite stories, or discover new ones that will take you to the wonderfull land of Fantasy.
